The National Association of Women in Colleges of Education (WICE) has honoured the Chairman of the GFO Orim Foundation and Member of Council at the Federal College of Education, Bichi, Kano, Hon. Chief (Dr) Martin Orim, with a Distinguished Service Award for his remarkable contributions to education, human development, and community service.
The award was presented during the WICE Annual National Conference held at the Federal College of Education, Obudu.
Receiving the award on Hon. Orim’s behalf, Mr. Ikem Ukeh Lawrence thanked the association for the recognition and conveyed Hon. Orim’s belief that education remains the strongest tool for building a fair and prosperous society.
He further urged the national group to keep Hon. Orim in their prayers as he prepares for greater responsibilities in representing his people at the National Assembly.
