Chief Ricketts Withdraws from Cross River Central Senatorial APC Re-run Primaries

The former Cross River State Commissioner for information, His Highness Obol Akin Ricketts, has withdrawn from Cross River Central Senatorial APC re-run primaries scheduled for today 17th, December 2022.

Chief Akin Ricketts, disclosed this in a statement after a closed door meeting with his family, political associates, delegates and teeming supporters in his country home Ugep on Friday.

” He thanked his supporters and Cross Riverians for their unflinching support towards his run in the earlier primaries. He also pledged his loyalty to our great party the All progressives Congress APC and the leader Governor of Cross River State, His Exellency Sen. prof. Ben Ayade.

Chief Ricketts enjoined all his supports and delegates in the reschedule primaries to ensure a peaceful atmosphere at the venue and vote the candidature of Rt Hon. Eteng Jones Williams so as to ensure victory for APC in the forthcoming elections.

Nigerian actor, Bimbo Manuel has stated that the reason he wasn’t going to marry was because he has seen quite a number of marriages.

In an interview with Chude Jideonwo in the series #WithChude, Bimbo noted that what he took away from marriages was that there’s a bit too much about the quality of the person that you’re going into the marriage with.

‘’I was not even going to marry because I’d seen quite a number of marriages, and what I took away from that was that there’s a bit too much about the quality of the person that you’re going into the marriage with.’’

‘’It’s like throwing up a die. You don’t know what number would come up. She may seem right, just perfect for you, but even that is chance because we all change.’’

Uyanga Security: CRS Government Restate Commitment To Securing Lives

“The Cross River State Government wishes to inform Cross Riverians that it is not oblivious of the security challenges currently bedeviling the state especially in the Uyanga axis of the Calabar/Akamkpa Federal Highway.

You will recall that after the first attack, government swung into action untill the pepertrators were brought to book.

Unfortunately it has been discovered that some vestiges of these criminals are still carrying out their heinous crimes in the area.

Government wishes to assure Cross Riverians that it has taken adequate measures to beef up security in the affected area to forestall further attacks from these criminals.

Government therefore wishes to assure Cross Riverians that their safety is of utmost priority to even as they go about their legitimate daily activities.

Again, government wishes to commiserate with victims and their families over the trauma and discomfort they have been forced to go through as a result of the activities of these criminals, and assures that no stone will be left unturned until they are brought to justice.

Finally Government urges all Cross Riverians to report any suspicious movement within their vicinity to security personnels around them as security is everybody’s business.”

It was a mammoth crowd that received the Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo Ward to Ward Campaign tour train in Utugwan Central, Obudu Local Government Area recently when they arrived there.

The people of Utugwan Central said Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo should go and sleep with two eyes closed because they will deliver APC From Top to Bottom. This is because he has given so much to them in terms of projects.

Speaking Rt. Hon. Legor Idagbo thanked the people for their support and asked them to work even harder to ensure not one vote is lost in the ward.

Tinubu Snubs Arise TV Townhall Meeting, Arrives UK.

The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, on Saturday morning, left the country for United Kingdom ahead of his scheduled engagement at Chatham House in London on Monday.

 

The APC standard bearer is expected to speak on Security, Economy and Foreign Policy.

 

The development is coming on the eve of the Presidential Town Hall meeting organised by Arise News for candidates of the major four political parties.

 

While the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar; his counterpart in New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Labour Party’s Peter Obi, have indicated interest in participating, Tinubu has opted out of the Sunday night town hall meeting.
