…Commends Gov. Otu for Bebi Airstrip, Other Development Projects
Ahead of the Obanliku New Yam Festival scheduled for tomorrow, August 29, 2026, the Member Representing the Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Akpanke, has held a strategic meeting with APC stakeholders in Obanliku.
The meeting provided an opportunity for Hon. Akpanke to appreciate party leaders and members for their continued support, goodwill and prayers, while reinforcing the need for unity and sustained grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
Akpanke also expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, for creating an enabling political environment for an Obanliku son to aspire, for the first time in this democratic dispensation, to become a Ranking Member of the National Assembly.
He further commended Governor Otu for the development projects ongoing across Obanliku, particularly the Bebi Airstrip project, describing the interventions as significant steps towards opening up the area and improving the fortunes of its people.
The federal lawmaker urged APC stakeholders to remain united and mobilise effectively for all APC candidates in the 2027 elections, from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the State House of Assembly.
The meeting was attended by the APC Chapter Chairman in Obanliku, Mr. Tom Ashibi, Executive Chairman of Obanliku, Chief Sunny Ayang, APC State House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Bridget Alina, ward chairmen and other party stakeholders.
