Hon. Chief Dr Martin Orim, Chairman of the GFO Orim Foundation, has expressed deep grief over the sudden death of Hon. Williams Ekah, former Commissioner for Power and Renewable Energy in Cross River State.
In a condolence message, Orim extended his sympathies to the Governor of Cross River State, the state government and people, as well as the immediate family of the deceased commissioner.
He described Ekah’s death as a painful shock, noting that the late commissioner was a dedicated public servant, committed politician and man of integrity and compassion who devoted himself to the service and development of Cross River State.
According to Orim, Ekah’s contributions to the state and his service to the people would remain part of his enduring legacy, adding that his passing represents a significant loss to his family, colleagues, government and the wider Cross River community.
“At this difficult moment, my thoughts and prayers are with his family. May God comfort them, grant them strength, and give us all the fortitude to bear this painful loss,” Orim stated.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of the late commissioner’s soul and asked God to grant the bereaved family the strength to bear the loss.
“May the soul of Hon. Williams Ekah rest in perfect peace,” he added.
