…Pledge 5/5 Victory for APC in Cross River
IKOM, September 4, 2026 | The Cross River State Chapter Youth Leaders Forum of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bassey Edet Otu for a second term in office.
The forum also pledged its support for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections, with a commitment to deliver a decisive 5/5 victory for the party across Cross River State.
The endorsement was made during a well-attended meeting of the forum in Ikom on September 3, 2026, where the youth leaders reviewed the achievements of the Federal and State Governments.
The forum commended President Tinubu for his national development agenda, particularly the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, which it described as a major infrastructure project with significant benefits for Cross River State.
It also expressed appreciation for the Federal Government’s efforts toward restoring the state’s oil-producing status, describing the recovery of 76 oil wells as a major economic milestone.
At the state level, the youth leaders praised Governor Otu’s administration for its achievements in security, infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, youth empowerment, and social interventions.
They highlighted the rehabilitation of the Obudu Mountain Resort and Bebi Airstrip, the recovery of Tinapa, road construction across the state, the rehabilitation of water treatment plants in Calabar, and the proposed development of Utanga Safari Lodge.
Other projects and initiatives mentioned included the completion of the Local Government Service Commission Complex, rehabilitation of judicial courts, modernization of CRBC and the Cross River Newspaper Corporation, agricultural mechanization, and the empowerment of young people through vocational, technical, and digital skills programmes.
The forum also commended the administration’s support for local governments and its efforts to attract investment through initiatives such as the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone and the Afreximbank-ASFnet Conference.
Speaking through its Chairman, Comrade Effiom Raymond Yellow-Duke, the forum declared that “the APC victory in the state is 5/5.”
The youth leaders pledged to mobilize at the grassroots and work for the re-election of President Tinubu, Governor Otu, and all APC candidates in 2027.
They reaffirmed their commitment to the APC and expressed confidence that continuity in leadership would sustain development, peace, and prosperity in Cross River State.
