The Executive Chairman of Obanliku Local Government Area, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Sunny Ayang, JP, on behalf of the government and people of Obanliku, has extended heartfelt felicitations to the Executive Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
In a goodwill message, Hon. Ayang described Governor Otu as a visionary and compassionate leader whose dedication to the growth and transformation of Cross River State continues to inspire hope across the state.
He commended the Governor for his achievements in infrastructural renewal, the revitalisation of the health and education sectors, human capacity development, and the restructuring and refurbishment of the Ranch Resort — which he noted as a significant step toward reviving the state’s tourism potential.
While joining the rest of the state to celebrate the Governor’s life and leadership, the Chairman appealed for the extension of ongoing urbanisation and development initiatives to Obanliku. He particularly called for the construction of internal and inter-LGA roads, improved electricity supply, and the creation of employment opportunities for young people.
Hon. Ayang also appealed for the urgent rehabilitation of the Ikom–Boki–Obanliku road, describing it as a critical economic lifeline and a vital link between the northern parts of the state and other regions.
“As Your Excellency marks this special day, we pray for God’s continued wisdom, strength, and good health upon you as you lead our dear state to greater heights,” Hon. Ayang stated.
He reaffirmed the unflinching loyalty and support of the government and people of Obanliku to the Governor’s administration and to the success of the People’s First agenda.
