The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon Peter Odey, represented by the Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly Rt Hon Sylvester Agabi Jnr , received an award of Honour by the Obudu District of the Assembly of God Church, Nigeria. According to the Church, the award was in recognition of his unwavering commitment to church development and his positive impact on society.
At the same event, the House of Assembly Deputy Speaker, Hon Agabi also received an award of honour in recognition of his exemplary leadership and contributions to societal development.
Upon receiving the award, Deputy Speaker Agabi commended the church for the recognition, calling it a motivation to further strengthen his commitment to the overall development of both the church and the community. Hon. Agabi donated 1,000,000 Naira (one million) as his personal support and an additional 2,000,000 Naira (two million) on behalf of the Deputy Governor, reaffirming their shared commitment to church development.
Following the event, the Deputy Speaker attended the wedding ceremony of a constituent, Mr. Ernest Ochui, in Okigor, after which he paid a condolence visit to the family of Ogboaka over the demise of Hon Jacob Ogboaka.
