Crisis appears to be brewing within the Cross River State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as eighteen (18) Chapter Chairmen and seventeen (17) Chapter Secretaries have jointly called for the immediate resignation of the State Chairman, Alphonsus Ogar Eba.
The call, which surfaced after a high-level meeting among the party’s local executives, cited alleged poor leadership, internal disunity, and loss of confidence in the current state leadership as key reasons behind the demand.
According to reports, the aggrieved chapter officers claim that the party’s structure has been weakened under Eba’s watch, resulting in growing dissatisfaction across local government chapters.
Sources within the party revealed that the group is preparing to present a formal petition to the national leadership of the APC, urging prompt intervention to restore unity and credibility to the state chapter.
