Chief Sunny Ayang JP is a resilient and determined politician who hails from the cool temperate Buya community in Obanliku Local Government Area. He was born in Cross River State and received his First School Certificate from the prestigious Central Primary School in Sankwala. Chief Sunny Ayang went on to further his education, obtaining his GCE, both O/Level and A/Level, as an External Candidate. He pursued a Diploma in Criminology through Corresponding Studies in Accra, Ghana, and later earned a B.Sc. degree in Political Science/Public Administration from Imo State University in 2009. Chief Sunny Ayang’s commitment to knowledge and expertise led him to be honoured with a Doctorate Degree from Yeshua University, California. His educational journey has been complemented by various professional jobs and political appointments.
Chief Sunny Ayang has made a significant impact in Obanliku and the broader State through his grassroots political involvement and valuable contributions to successive administrations. Actively engaged in politics as a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Obanliku, he remains dedicated to serving his community. Driven by a desire to foster development and provide aid to his people, Chief Sunny Ayang aspires to chair Obanliku Local Government Area. Unrestricted by the conventions of traditional politics, his approach is marked by boundless empathy and a “can-do” attitude.
