Ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election scheduled for 2 November 2024, one of the Chairmanship aspirants for Obudu Local Government, Mr. Peter Undiandeye Akongfe, has picked his expression of interest in the party.
According to the party, the expression of interest form costs N100,000 while the nomination form which is yet to be available costs N1 million.
Mr Peter Undiandeye, disclosed the purchase of the form in a post on his Facebook page on Monday.
The aspirant said: “Today, we made a deliberate and conscious move towards the fulfilment of our aspirations to serve our dear people of the Obudu Local Government Area by picking up the expression of interest from our great party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.”
“The tone is set by this singular act and I’m quite convinced that together, we can make Obudu great and a pride of place for all of us.
“Let’s join hands and make history together.”
Earlier in an interview with this Newspaper, Akongfe outlined his intention and plans to transform Obudu local government. He noted that purchase of the form was a major step in restating his commitment to the liberation of the people and his determination to govern the local government with purpose and fear of God.
