The leading Obanliku Local Government Area (LGA) chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief (Dr.) Sunny Ayang, has picked up his expression of intent form from the party Secretariat ahead of the Cross River State Local Government election on November 2, 2024.
SENTRYRIMES reports that the N100,000 expression of interest form was purchased for the chairmanship aspirant on Monday by a group that identified itself as TEAM SEA like-minds
Recall that the Chairmanship Aspirant had declared his intention to run for the office some months ago under the ruling party, APC.
Spokesman of the group, Peter Ikwen, who spoke to journalists shortly after the form was purchased, said they rallied behind Dr Sunny Ayang based on his capacity.
He said, “We are a group of young Obanliku people who feel that Obanliku deserves a highly experienced and grassroots-oriented politician and seasoned technocrat to lead the local government this time.
“We think Chief Sunny Ayang can steer it forward and we believe in him because we have seen what he did as a Chapter Chairman and his outstanding results during the last election. And we have heard him talk; he has the wealth of experience to lead Obanliku to the promised land”
