Residents of Amunga Community in Obanliku Local Government Area of Cross River State have welcomed a new solar-powered street-light project facilitated by the member representing the Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Akpanke.
The intervention provides improved lighting along key areas of the community, with residents expecting greater visibility, safer movement and increased activity after dark.
The project forms part of Akpanke’s constituency interventions aimed at addressing practical infrastructure needs at the grassroots and improving living conditions across the federal constituency.
For residents of Amunga, the arrival of the solar-powered street lights represents a significant improvement to the community’s nighttime environment, with the project expected to support security, mobility and local economic activities.
The development further adds to the growing presence of constituency-focused infrastructure interventions associated with Hon. Akpanke across the Bekwarra, Obudu and Obanliku Federal Constituency.
