The Executive Chairman of Obanliku Local Government Area, Hon. Amb. Chief (Dr.) Sunny Ebebe Ayang JP, has supported three students identified in worn-out school uniforms and rewarded two teachers for their neat appearance during the 66th Independence Day celebration in Obanliku.
The gesture was part of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary and reflects the Chairman’s emphasis on discipline, proper appearance, education and the welfare of pupils and teachers across the local government area.
The students who received support were:
- Igulu Blessing of GPS Beegbong
- Apah Godhess of GPS Bebi
- Favour Adi Favour of Godbey Primary School, Sankwala
Meanwhile, two teachers were recognised and rewarded for their neat appearance during the celebration:
- Ogogo Edward of GPS Bebuan Kayanga
- Adah Alice E. of FSP-N/P School, Sankwala
Chairman Ayang encouraged students to maintain personal cleanliness, take pride in their appearance and remain committed to their education. He also commended teachers for setting good examples for the younger generation.
The gesture added a practical touch to the Independence Day celebration, bringing attention to both the needs of students and the importance of discipline and proper presentation among educators.
