The people of Shekpeche Community in Bishiri North, Obanliku Local Government Area, have received a major boost with the successful completion of a solar-powered water project facilitated by the Member representing Obanliku, Obudu and Bekwarra Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Akpanke.
The project, which commenced about two weeks ago, has now been completed and is ready for commissioning and community use.
The new facility is expected to provide residents with access to clean, safe, and reliable water while reducing the longstanding challenges of inadequate water supply in the community.
Beyond providing water for daily household needs, the solar-powered system is expected to support improved hygiene and contribute to better living conditions for residents.
The completion of the project further highlights the importance of constituency interventions that address basic community needs and deliver practical benefits directly to the people.
