The campaign for the re-election of Hon. Peter Akpanke, Member representing Obanliku, Obudu and Bekwarra Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, has received fresh grassroots support as women of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Obanliku, popularly known as Liye Usu, declared their support for his second-term bid.
The women demonstrated their commitment by presenting campaign materials, including branded shirts, face caps, posters and other promotional items, to support the campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the presentation, the women said Hon. Akpanke’s performance in his first term had earned him their continued support. They described his re-election as “non-negotiable,” citing what they described as his projects, empowerment initiatives and grassroots representation across the constituency.
According to the women, Hon. Akpanke has demonstrated commitment to the welfare of constituents, particularly through interventions they said have benefited women, youths and communities across Obanliku, Obudu and Bekwarra.
They also pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation across the wards and communities of Obanliku, with a commitment to canvass support for the APC and the return of Hon. Akpanke to the National Assembly.
Receiving the campaign materials, Hon. Peter Akpanke thanked the women for their support, solidarity and confidence in his representation.
He assured them that their support would not be taken for granted, adding that he remained committed to delivering more interventions and bringing the benefits of democratic representation closer to the people.
The latest declaration adds to the growing campaign activities surrounding the 2027 race, as supporters across the three local government areas continue to organise in support of Akpanke’s second-term bid.
