The Cross River State Civil Service Commission has released an official advertisement inviting applications from eligible Medical Officers for vacant posts. The recruitment follows the approval of His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, the Executive Governor of Cross River State. According to the advertisement, applicants may apply for Medical Officer, Senior Medical Officer II, Senior Medical Officer I, Principal Medical Officer (Consultant) II, or Principal Medical Officer I (Consultant), depending on their qualifications and experience. Applicants must be between 18 and 45 years of age. The requirements range from an MBBS qualification with 1–4 years of practice for Medical Officer to postgraduate fellowship with five years and above of practice for Principal Medical Officer I (Consultant).
Interested candidates are required to apply online at https://portal.crcsc.crossriverstate.gov.ng without paying any application fee. The required documents include the highest academic certificate, Certificate of Local Government Origin, Birth Certificate or Age Declaration, and NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate where applicable. The Commission further stated that certificates must come from government-recognized institutions and must be uploaded from the originals. Applicants are also required to print a hard copy of their completed application form. The Commission advises candidates to ensure that the documents submitted meet the stated requirements before completing the online application process.
According to the notice, online applications begin Friday, September 18, 2026, while the closing date is Friday, September 25, 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be notified through email or WhatsApp and on the Cross River State Civil Service Commission website between October 2 and October 5, 2026. The shortlisted applicants are expected to appear physically for an oral interview from Monday, October 5 through Friday, October 9, 2026, at the Commission’s Conference Room, Calabar. The recruitment notice carries the signature of Sir Maurice Effiwatt, KSI JP+, Chairman of the Commission.
