The 2027 consultation train of Hon. Chief Martin Orim (CMO), leading aspirant for the Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency seat, moved to Obanliku Local Government Area as he engaged APC stakeholders, party leaders, women, youths, and grassroots supporters ahead of the forthcoming party primaries.
Hon. Orim, who was received by the Executive Chairman of Obanliku Local Government Council, Hon. Amb. Chief (Dr.) Sunny Ayang, JP, said his aspiration is anchored on effective representation, grassroots inclusion, and direct connection between the people and the National Assembly.
Addressing the stakeholders, Hon. Orim assured the people of Obanliku that, if elected in 2027, he would bring the National Assembly closer to the people by appointing 30 Liaison Officers across the 30 political wards of the federal constituency.
According to him, the initiative will ensure that every ward has a direct channel for communicating its needs, challenges, and development priorities.
“If elected in 2027, I will bring the National Assembly to your doorstep by appointing 30 Liaison Officers for the 30 political wards,” Hon. Orim stated.
Welcoming the delegation, the APC Chapter Chairman, Mr. Thomas Ashibi, described the visit as timely and urged Hon. Orim to sustain his consultations while promoting party unity and cohesion.
Also speaking, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sunny Ayang, commended Hon. Orim for his grassroots engagement and encouraged him to remain consistent in his consultations. He assured him of the support of Obanliku people upon securing the party ticket.
Various speakers, including stakeholders, youths, women, and party faithful such Chief Spokesman Agogo, Rt Hon Maurice Evey, Prof Patrick Egaga, Mrs Agnes Ashabua, Comrade Kyrian Anafukan, praised Hon. Orim’s humility, accessibility, and consultative approach. They assured him of their support for his aspiration ahead of the 2027 election.
