The chairman of the GFO Orim Foundation and current member of the Governing Council of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi, Kano State, Chief Hon. (Dr.) Martin Orim , joined other top government officials, dignitaries, family members, and sympathisers in Ogoja Local Government Area to pay last respects to the late Mrs. Alice Ababa Agbe (née Odey), elder sister of Cross River Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey.
Hon. Martin Orim visited the Deputy Governor’s residence to offer condolences, and later to the venue of the burial where he described the late Mrs. Agbe as a woman of exceptional compassion, strength, and dedication to service. He noted the profound sense of loss her passing brings and prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the Odey family.
While commiserating with the Deputy Governor, Dr. Orim praised Odey’s steadfast commitment to public service despite his personal grief, calling his resilience both admirable and inspirational.
The solemn gathering had in attendance the Governor of Cross River State, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan Enoh; High Chief Higgins Peters; RT Hon Legor Idagbo, Executive Chairman of Bekwara Hon Theresa Ushie, and well-wishers united in honouring the life and legacy of Mrs. Agbe.
