The Federal Government has officially declared Wednesday, September 27, 2023, as a public holiday to observe Eil-ul-Maulid celebration.
In a statement released by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Oluwatoyin Akinlade, on behalf of the Minister of Interior, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Muslims were congratulated for being able to experience this year’s occasion.
The minister also urged them to embrace the values of love, patience, tolerance, and perseverance that were exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
