Elder Dr. Odey is not the type to chase political office for personal gain. Yet, those of us who have witnessed his life of service know that IKOM Local Government, and Cross River State at large, need his kind of leadership now more than ever.
From his early days as a community mobilizer to his role as a respected elder and stakeholder, Dr. Odey has proven that leadership is about impact, not title. He has funded scholarships, supported healthcare outreaches, empowered youths, and stood with widows and the vulnerable. His open-door policy makes him accessible to all, regardless of party affiliation.
We are not asking him to seek power. We are persuading him to answer a higher call: to bring his compassion, integrity, and development-focused vision into formal political office. IKOM LGA needs a unifying voice that delivers results and leaves no one behind. Cross River State needs a leader whose footprint is already visible in the lives he has touched.
Elder Dr. Odey, your people are calling. Your record of service speaks louder than any campaign. Do not let your light be hidden. Come out and contest, so that the good you’ve done for a few can be multiplied for the many.
This is not politics as usual. It is about placing a servant where he can serve best.
