In a statement issued on Monday, the Speaker described the recognition as a strong national affirmation of Governor Otu’s leadership style and policy direction. He noted that the honour is not merely ceremonial, but a reflection of focused governance and a steady commitment to repositioning Cross River State for long-term growth.
Ayambem observed that since assuming office, Governor Otu has restored public confidence in governance through structured reforms, improved engagement with development partners, and renewed efforts at economic revitalisation. He stated that the award acknowledges a leadership approach grounded in discipline, consultation, and practical results.
According to the Speaker, the Cross River State House of Assembly remains fully aligned with the administration’s development priorities. He reaffirmed the legislature’s resolve to continue providing the legal framework and institutional support required to translate government programmes into concrete benefits for citizens.
Ayambem also commended the Silverbird Group for sustaining a tradition of recognising public figures whose contributions extend beyond their immediate domains. He remarked that the honour further projects Cross River State into the national spotlight and strengthens its voice in broader policy conversations.
The Speaker concluded that the award carries both recognition and responsibility, expressing confidence that Governor Otu will continue to justify the confidence placed in him by the people of the state.
