As part of the celebrations marking the annual New Yam Festival in Obudu, former Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State and Chairman of the GFO Orim Foundation, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Martin Orim, was warmly hosted in Ofambe by a respected community leader, Elder Augustine Ogbe- Orim, alongside his supporters.
Elder Ogbe, in his remarks, described Hon. Orim as a dependable son of the land whose contributions to development and community service remain unmatched. He commended his leadership style and assured him of his support in his political aspiration. 
Some supporters from across Ofambe and neighbouring communities thronged the Compound of Elder Ogbe to celebrate with Hon. Orim.
In his response, Hon. Orim expressed gratitude to Elder Ogbe and the people of Ofambe for their steadfast support, pledging to continue standing for initiatives that promote peace, culture, and development in Obudu and Cross River State at large.
