The former Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State and Chairman of the GFO Orim Foundation, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Martin Orim, together with his wife, Mrs. Ubeloka Orim, joined relatives, friends, and associates in Ikom Local Government Area to pay their last respect to the Late Ambassador Ayang Azom Ayang, who was laid to rest today. 
Hon. Orim described the passing of Amb. Ayang as a painful loss, while extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He urged them to find comfort in the enduring legacies left behind by the deceased.
It would be recalled that upon receiving news of the Ambassador’s death, Chief Orim had earlier paid a condolence visit to the family in Calabar.
Until his passing on August 10, 2025, Amb. Ayang Azom Ayang served as the General Manager of the Rural Development Agency (RUDA).
