The Executive Chairman of Obanliku Local Government Council, Hon. Chief (Dr.) Sunny Ayang, JP, on Monday, July 7, 2025, graciously welcomed a delegation from the Council’s women’s wing during a courtesy visit to his office.
Leading the delegation, Madam Caroline Igba congratulated the Chairman on his assumption of office and seized the opportunity to highlight pressing staff welfare issues. She also proposed areas of partnership aimed at improving working conditions across the council.
In his response, Hon. Ayang expressed gratitude for the visit and acknowledged the crucial contributions of women to the council’s progress. He underscored the importance of maintaining strong collaboration between the council and women-led groups to advance inclusivity and sustainable development.
Addressing the concerns raised, the Chairman specifically acknowledged the issue of insufficient office space. He revealed plans by his administration to renovate neglected council buildings and repurpose them as functional office spaces. He further pledged to extend solar power supply to all council departments to enhance efficiency and productivity.
In her vote of thanks, Mrs. Jane Odey, Clerk of the Obanliku Legislative Council, praised Hon. Ayang for his open, inclusive approach to leadership and his commitment to staff welfare.
