In a heartwarming demonstration of grassroots impact and community support, Dr. (Mrs.) Christy Mike Ushie, popularly known as CMU, has carried out an educational outreach across several primary schools in Obanliku Local Government Area, distributing essential learning materials and engaging with key community stakeholders.
The outreach, which covered various wards across Obanliku, saw CMU personally interact with pupils, encouraging them to embrace education as the key to a brighter future. School bags and other academic materials were distributed to the young learners, with a special focus on inspiring their commitment to academic excellence.
In a parallel engagement, Dr. Ushie also met with women of Bendi Ward 2, her primary support base, where she donated new uniforms to foster a sense of belonging, unity, and identity within the group. The initiative, she noted, fulfills a personal dream long held dear.
“I’m thrilled to have fulfilled this long-held dream. This gesture is a small token of my deep appreciation and commitment to the people who stood by me from the start,” Dr. Ushie said.
She expressed deep gratitude to the First Lady of Cross River State, Her Excellency Bishop Dr. Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, for recognising her commitment and providing the platform to execute the project. She also acknowledged her husband for his constant support and encouragement.
“May God bless the good people of Obanliku, Cross River State, and Nigeria,” she concluded.
