The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Elvert Ayambem, on Friday, 28 February 2025, visited the Cross River State Commissioner for Special Duties, Mr Oden Ewa, in his country home in Ido Ordonborwen Convent, Ugep, Yakurr local government area.
Details of the discussions between the two eminent citizens were not known, but some analysts see the visit as a strategic move by Ayambem towards building a formidable and united party in the Central Senatorial District.
The visit, which was greeted with the warm reception of Ayambem, also saw the Speaker playing a visit to the Director Homeland Security, Central, Felix Arikpko, known as Lewo, on the occasion of his mother’s burial.
