The Executive Chairman of Obanliku Local Government Council, Hon. (Dr.) Sunny Ayang, JP, has emphasized the need for all council staff to be diligent and regular to work, beginning from Monday next week. He urged the Head of Personnel to ensure drastic measures are put in place to penalize any staff who is absent from duty.
Hon. Sunny stated this during an interactive meeting with the acting Head of Personnel, Obanliku Local Government Council, Mr. Godfrey Ufefe, NULGE representative, Mrs. Agnes Ashabua, political appointees, and other administrative staff at the council secretariat. He further assured the staff of his desire to reward diligence and dedication to work.
“My administration will be staff friendly. Serious-minded staff, both civil and political, will have their due. We will improve on governance and the state of affairs we met on the ground”, the chairman stated.
Speaking further, Hon. Sunny urged all political appointees to see their appointment as the will of God, and a privilege to serve Obanliku.
Aside from the interactive meeting, the chairman met with the Obanliku Local Government Inspector ( LI) of the National Youth Service Corps, Mr. Christopher Odey, and the Corpers Liaison Officer ( CLO), who came on a courtesy call.
In attendance at the meeting was the Vice Chairman of Council, Hon. Glory Awowoh; the Secretary of Council, Dr. Joseph Agba; the Head of Personnel, Mr. Ufefe Godfrey; NULGE representative, Mrs. Agnes Ashabua; the Director of Finance & Supply; Mr. Fidelis Kajijung, other political appointees and council staff.
