The Executive Chairman of Obanliku Local Government Area, Hon. Sunny Ayang, met with the new Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) posted to the Local Government Council today.
The new HOLGA, Mr. Innocent Itayegbe, expressed his desire to ensure a cordial relationship with all the council staff, the council chairman, and other executive members. The chairman in his response, expressed his willingness to work with the new HOLGA towards improving the current status of the LGA.
Hon Sunny Ayang also interfaced with the Honourable Councillors, who came to officially brief him on their decision to embark on Christmas break. The Chairman used the opportunity to express his joy over the existing cordiality between him and the legislature. Hon. Ayang highlighted his effort towards ensuring the councillors and his appointees have a pleasant Christmas celebration. He further advised them to always have a working synergy with councillors in other LGAs.
In conclusion of his official engagement for the day, Hon. Sunny Ayang granted an audience to the Transitional Revenue Committee. The Chairman of the committee, Mr. Pius Eshabi, took time to detail their achievements so far, highlighting their challenges and the plans for improved revenue generation.
Hon. Sunny Ayang responded by thanking the committee for their sacrifices, citing the words of former United State President, John Kenedy who said citizens should always think of what they can do to better their country and not waiting for what their country can do for them.
