The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Elvert Ayambem, has felicitated with Cross River State Former Governor, Chief Clement Ebri, on the occasion of his seventy-two birthday. He paid a courtesy visit to the former Governor at his Calabar residence.
Rt Hon Elvert Ayambem said that the life of the leading political figure continues to serve as a lesson in perseverance, hard work, generosity, bravery, and the strength of vision. He called Clement Ebri a source of pride and inspiration for the people of Cross River.
The Speaker, who hailed the elder statesman as a man of vision, said he is a man who is ever willing to support any good cause. “Dr. Ebri has shown himself to be a sublime example of simplicity, a man with a sublime outlook on life and all of its problems, and a man who has managed to live his life with compassion at its center,” he said.
Dr Clement Ebri, in his remarks, commended the Speaker for his humility, loyalty, and support to the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Senator (Prince) Bassey Otu’s administration. He also encouraged the Speaker to keep up with his good relationship and support to the Governor.
