The Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Sylvester Agabi, on Thursday, paid a visit to Prof. Ben Ayade, former governor of Cross River State, in Kakem-Obudu to offer his condolences following the passing of Prof. Ayade’s father-in-law, late Chief Francis Ingubel Akpo.
The late Chief Francis Ingubel Akpo passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 83 after a brief illness.
During the visit, the Deputy Speaker extended his sympathies to the entire Akpo family and offered prayers for the departed soul. He prayed to God to grant the late Chief eternal rest and to give his wife, the Akpo family, and all those mourning his loss the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.
