[PHOTOS] Team Assembly Wins the C’River Novelty Football Tournament

In the 2023 Calabar Festival Novelty Football Tournament finals, the Cross River State House of Assembly Team (Team Assembly), captained by Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, defeated the Executive arm of Government (Team Executive) 2:0 to win the men’s division.

At Calabar’s U.J. Esuene Stadium on Tuesday, the Team Assembly defeated the Team Exco. This triumph follows the Legislators Wives’ recent penalty-filled victory over the Excos Wives to win the female category.

The male and female teams of the Cross River State House of Assembly have set a new record by winning the Calabar Festival Tournament, making them the state’s most successful football-playing participating arm of government.
