On Thursday, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, the chairman of the Conference of Speakers in the State Legislatures throughout Nigeria, along with Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, the state speaker of Cross River, and other significant forum participants paid the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, a courtesy call at her Abuja office.
According to the Speakers, the purpose of the visit was to investigate ways to enhance cooperation between the Federal and State Governments in the domains of humanitarian interventions and poverty alleviation initiatives.
Taking advantage of the occasion, the Minister called on the states to domesticate the NSIPA Act and the Disability Act. She committed to incorporating thoughtfully into the project’s execution within her ministry.
