The newly inaugurated member of parliament representing Bekwara, Obanliku and Obudu Federal Constituency has today hosted friends, supporters and associates to a merry party after his inauguration into the 10th National Assembly.
While at the event which took place at A-Class Park and Event Center (Diamond Hall), Abuja, Chief Hon Peter Akpanke thanked his supporters for their efforts and genuine support for his election which gave him victory to the National Assembly.
Hon Akpanke particularly mentioned and appreciated the PDP Cross River State chairman, Barr Venatus Ikem and Sen Prof Sandy Onor for their exceptional role in ensuring that he (Akpanke) won his election. In his words, Peter mentioned that “all through my life, I have never seen genuine policians like Sen Prof. Sandy Onor and Barr Venatius Ikem.”
Hon Peter Akpanke assured of delivering on the promises made to his constituents before the election, insisting that he will not disappoint them.
The member of parliament also sent a public message to former Cross River State Governor stating that Ayade is now is constituent.
“I am sending a message to our former Governor, Ben Ayade; I don’t want to call him professor because I don’t know if he is a professor. But tell him that me, Hon. Peter Betianabeshie Akpanke, I am his House of reps member. I am representing him in the House of Reps, so he is my constituent.”
One of the supporters at the event when asked about his expectations said that “My earnest prayer is that may De Rock be a shining light in the Green Chambers, putting forward legislations and contributions that will have a meaningful impact on our OBO Federal Constituency.
“I have no doubt in my mind that after his tenure of office at the expiration of the 10th Assembly, the people of OBO will be singing “We want him again for a 2nd term in office” as a result of the qualitative and responsive performance(s) he will have displayed in the Hallowed Green Chambers of the House Of Representatives.
