The member representing Bekwara, Obanliku and Obudu federal constituency, Hon Peter Akpanke, need assessment tour across the three Local Government Areas in the constituency came to an end yesterday with Obanliku as its endpoint.
In a statement released by Mr Awade Friday, SSA Media and Publicity, Chief Akpanke noted that he was having a social contract with the people, and while the people have fulfilled theirs, it was incumbent on him to initiate moves towards the fulfillment of his pact with them.
Akpanke also appealed for more support and cooperation from the people as that will aid the process of delivering on the people’s mandate.
”The assurance and renewed hope of the people was again consolidated with the MP’s remarkable speech, what he promised in time past, and how he has been able to interface with them endlessly”.
According the release, high points of the engagements captured the different concerns raised by leaders of various political wards, religious leaders, and youths across all the clans in Obanliku.
The needs assessment tour also featured engagements such as brief meeting with traditional rulers council forum, special prayers from God’s vessels of honor, inspiring conversations from various ward leaders, youths/students and women and also, award presentation from different socio-political groups.
