The Chief of Staff of the Deputy Speaker of Cross River State, Comr. Odama Joseph, has formally indicated his desire to run for the position of Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Cross River State Chapter.
Comr. Odama Joseph, in a statement on his official social media handle noted as follows:
“Fellow Cross River State Youths, my name is Comr. Odama Joseph, I hail from Obudu Local Government, and a proud citizen of Cross River State.”
“Through my daily activities and conversations with young people in the State and beyond, I have been exposed to a wide range of issues that young people face. The knowledge and skills I acquired during my tenure as the Secretary of the Obudu Youth Council have equipped me with the means to interact with the government and youth sector stakeholders on a more extensive and comprehensive level.”
“My decision to run for the State Chairmanship of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Cross River State Chapter, in order to build on the accomplishments of the administration led by Comr. Dan Obo in the upcoming elections was prompted by this exposure. I hereby declare that, with God’s grace, I will fully acknowledge the magnitude of the challenges that confront us as young people and make every effort to meet these challenges head-on.”
“As Chairman of NYCN-CRS, I will be sharing with you in the next days some of the plans and programmes that I will be pursuing, along with the actions that we intend to take to keep our beloved State in the spotlight. In order for us to complete this enormous task, I sincerely ask for your help, prayers, and contribution.”
