Delegations from the Obanliku APC Women Network, APC Progressive Alliance for JAJ (FCE Obudu Chapter), and the Obanliku Solidarity Movement have paid a condolence visit to Hon. Chief (Dr.) Martin Ojie Orim following the passing of his niece, Lady Josephine Ukpong, former Vice Chairman of Obanliku Local Government Area.
The groups, led by Hon. Beatrice Uyimse, Dr. Austine Agbama, and Hon. Anthony Abaka, expressed deep sympathy over the loss, describing the late Lady Ukpong as a committed woman who contributed meaningfully to the development of Obanliku.
Speaking on behalf of the delegations, the leaders said their visit was to stand with Hon Martin Orim in this period of grief and to reaffirm their support as political activities gradually build toward the 2027 elections.
Responding, Hon. Martin Orim thanked the groups for their show of concern and unity. He noted that while he remains in a period of mourning, he will commence wide consultations across the various local government areas in the coming weeks. He appreciated their support and restated his commitment to serving the people and advancing meaningful development across Obanliku, Bekwara, and Obudu Federal Constituency.
