Hon. Chief (Dr.) Sunny Ayang, Executive Chairman of Obanliku LGA, joined Deputy Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Sylvester Agabi and other APC leaders in Utugwang, Obudu, to welcome Prince KJ JD-Agba into the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Agba, a former PDP House of Reps aspirant, defected with a strong support base, pledging loyalty to Governor Bassey Otu and backing his re-election.
Deputy Speaker Agabi, representing the Governor, hailed the defection as a major boost for APC ahead of 2027. Party Vice Chairman (North), Emmanuel Atep, described it as a reflection of the Governor’s inclusive leadership.
