The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, represented Governor Otu at a Thanksgiving ceremony commemorating the first 100 days in office of Hon. Effiong Okon, Chairman of Bakassi Local Government Area. The event took place at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Ikang Town, the headquarters of Bakassi.
During his address, Hon. Ironbar encouraged Hon. Okon and other local government chairmen to prioritize the effective implementation of development initiatives at the grassroots level. He also highlighted the importance of gratitude, urging attendees to remain thankful and seek divine guidance in their endeavors.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, chairmen of the 18 LGAs, government officials, colleagues of Hon. Okon, and members of the Forum of Local Government Chairmen. The event served as a celebration of Hon. Okon’s achievements during his initial 100 days in office.
