The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, warmly congratulates Professor Francisca Bassey on her appointment as Acting Vice-Chancellor and Ntufam Dr. Fidelis Ugbo as Pro-Chancellor of the University of Cross River State.

These appointments reflect the vision of His Excellency Senator Bassey Otu to entrust proven leaders with the responsibility of steering our state’s premier university toward greater heights. We are confident that their leadership will foster academic excellence and drive meaningful contributions to the development of Cross River State and Nigeria.

The Chief of Staff also commends Hon. Francis Ettah and Professor Susan Etim on their inclusion in the university’s newly constituted Governing Council. Their wealth of experience will strengthen the university’s leadership team and support its mission to advance education and innovation.

As these leaders step into their new roles, the Chief of Staff encourages them to work together in transforming the University of Cross River State into a beacon of progress and opportunity. Their success will benefit not just the university but the wider community.

The Cross River State Government remains committed to prioritizing education and creating an environment where learning and research can thrive. Together, we can build a brighter future for all.

Signed,

Patrick Asuquo
