The All Progressives Congress’ (APC) candidate for governor in 2023, Tonye Cole, has congratulated Rivers Governor Siminalaiyi Fubara on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn his challenge to the election.
Hours after the verdict, Cole made this statement in a video that he shared on social media.
“Great people of Rivers State, I hereby recognise Governor Siminalaiyi Fubara’s appointment as governor by the Supreme Court.” I pursued the election process assiduously because, as a devoted democrat, I respect the rule of law,” he declared on Thursday.
He offered the Governor his congratulations and a hand in friendship.
He stated: “Our shared objective is peace, and I promise to work with all well-meaning people in and out of government to restore Rivers state to a place where business flourishes.”
