Speaker Ayambem Appreciates Colleagues, Staff as CRSHA Resumes Plenary

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Elvert Ayambem has expressed gratitude to his fellow Lawmakers as well as staff of the Assembly for their support and dedication to duty last year.
Ayambem who was speaking during the first plenary session for the new year welcomed Members from their recess and also expressed gratitude to God for His protection and divine providence to all Members and staff of the Assembly.
“I thank God for a successful crossing into 2024. I welcome all Members back to the Assembly. I pray that God will keep all of us together to the end of our tenure. I also thank the staff, you people have been very supportive.” Ayambem said.
The Speaker who promised to improve staff welfare charged them to continue to cooperate with the leadership of the Assembly for better service delivery.
You may recall that the House had proceeded on it’s christmas recess after passing the 2024 Budget on 28 December, 2023 with a mandate to resume plenary on 16, January, 2024.
