Ruling All Progress Congress, APC, on Friday inaugurated the six newly elected members of the National Working Committee.
Those sworn in were the Deputy National Chairman, North, Ali Bukar Dalori (Borno State); National Vice Chairman, North West, Garba Datti Muhammad (Kaduna State); National Legal Adviser, Prof. Abdul Karim Abubakar Kana (Nasarawa State), National Welfare Secretary, Donatus Nwankpa (Abia State), National Woman Leader, Mary Alile Idele, PhD (Edo State); and, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Duro Meseko (Kogi State).
National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje promised Dr. Stella Odey and two unnamed others who lost out from Cross River State that they’ll be accommodated in other capacities.
Ikani Okolo who was initially nominated for the position of Zonal Organising Secretary (North Central) was dropped to placate Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bella who had protested against the nomination for the office of Deputy Publicity Secretary from his State.
Other candidates who lost out from Kogi and Abia have also been promised compensation by the party/government.
