In a swift response to the outcry of Cross Riverians on the increase in pump price of petrol across the State, the Executive Governor of Cross River State, H.E. Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu matched words with action by inspecting the sales of the product in the state.
The Governor, on Thursday visited fuel stations in Calabar to ensure the stipulated price is adhered to. This is coming after he barely inaugurated a Joint Task Force (JTF) on Petroleum Monitoring to comb the area, ensuring that Cross Riverians are not being exploited.
Otu who has constantly reiterated that his administration will put the people first, started on that footing to ensure the sufferings of Cross Riverians are assuaged.
Having led the way, the Committee earlier setup by the governor are expected to build on the governor’s strides to ensure compliance by tank farms as well as fuel stations.
