MP-Elect, Peter Akpanke, Others Endorse APC’s Betara For Speaker, Say Tinubu Needs a Coordinated, Focused NASS For Excellence

Chief Peter Akpanke , under the umbrella of New Vision Group of Members-elect in the House of Representatives has declared support for incumbent House Committee Chairman on Appropriations, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Muktah Betara, as Speaker of the House of Representatives in the 10th Assembly.

According to Chief Peter Akpanke, the group had interfaced with all Speakership aspirants except one, and later endorsed APC’S Betara from North-East whom he said had the interest of the House Menbers and masses at heart.

The MP-Elect stated that Betara having served excellently as Chairman Committee on Defence, Customs and Appropriation, and with the current state of the Nation, it will be appropriate to support him to work with the Executive Arm of government to stabilize the country.

The Cross River born philanthropist further noted that he knows Tinubu’s antecedents as a transformer and believes he will transform Nigeria.

“We know our President Elect, Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We know what he can do. We know his capacity. Even though some of us are PDP members, we know Tinubu can transform this country. He had done it in Lagos, even human capital development. We know he will do better..” Akpanke explained.
